About Us

Justice and Peace Organization for Human Rights was established in May, 2021 and registered in Libya within the Civil Society Institutions. It was founded by a group of human rights activists, legal activists, doctors, civil society activists as well as volunteers from Libyan University students, in order to consolidate and achieve the concept of justice through its multiple mechanisms and various tools to reach community peace.

Justice and Peace Organization for Human Rights is an independent Libyan Non-Governmental Organization that defends, protects and helps to promote human rights, and supports aspects of its concern for displaced persons, migrants and people with special needs, and also seeks to be directly related to any internal or external issues related to human rights and civil society, by providing all necessary field work, in addition to training and lectures for human rights defenders and workers in their field.

Our Team

Mr. Hisham Swesi

Chieve Executive Officer
Mr. Swesi is a legal expert. He holds LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of West London. He worked as a legal advisor to the Libyan General Media Authority and worked as a legal advisor in a number of law firms in the UK.

Mr. Haider Algalabi

Director of Media and Communication Department
Mr. Algalabi is a voice over performer, forum presenter, content writer. He holds a TOT certificate in project management, and he has worked as a collaborator in the media office at the General Authority for Youth and Sports. He led many activities and campaigns at the University of Tripoli, former chairman of the board of directors of the Mostakbaluna Foundation.

Ms. Masouda Al-Kawafi

Director of the Human Rights Department
Ms. Al-Kawafi is a human rights activist working in the field of translation. She obtained a BA in English. She has participated in a number of programs concerned with human rights, in cooperation with local and international organizations. She also works in the field of administration and teaching.

Ms. Raja Alqamati

Director of the Social Support Department
Ms. Al-Qamati obtained a higher diploma in civil engineering in 2003. She supervised a number of charitable campaigns aimed at extending a helping hand to people with low income. She works as a social researcher in the Libyan Charitable Foundation Zakat.

Dr. Mohamed Radan

Managing Director and Chairman of Board
Dr. Radan is a human rights activist who has been working since 2011 in the field of human rights, holds a master’s and doctorate degrees in international criminal law from Brunel University London, and works as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law at the University of Tripoli.

Mr. Mohamed Algledy

Director of Research and Training Department
Mr. Algledy is a legal advisor and human rights activist, he holds a master’s degree in commercial law from the University of Alexandria, a member of a number of international arbitration committees, and he also works as a lecturer at Libyan universities, interested in human rights, justice and equality issues in society.

Dr. Abdulathim Radan

Assistant Director of the Human Rights Department
Dr. Abduladdaim holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Tripoli. He works in the emergency department of the dialysis center. He also works in the emergency department of the Covid-19 isolation center. He is interested in supporting human rights issues.

Dr. Mohieddin Elsadawi

Assistant Director of Social Support Department
Dr. El-Saadawi holds a bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the University of Tripoli in 2012. He has been working in the Forensic Medicine Department at the Faculty of Medicine since 2014, interested in supporting human rights issues in Libya.

Mr. Munir Abourkiba

Vice-Chairman of Board
Mr. Abourkiba is is a lawyer and a legal advisor to a number of local and international institutions and organizations, supportive and defender of human rights, and committed to speaking out for the rights of others.

Mr. Ahmed Alhamid

Financial Director
Mr. Ahmed is is a civil activist working in charitable activities since 2011. He has a high level of professionalism and experience in managing volunteer and charitable campaigns. He worked as a financial manager for a number of civil society institutions.

Mr. Omar Houssein

Director of Project Management
Mr. Houssein obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tripoli in 2015, studied a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering in Turkey, and also obtained a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Manchester in 2020. He got some international scholarships and awards, and volunteered in a number of British organizations.

Dr. Rehab Ben Noba

Dr. Rehab is a legal advisor and human rights activist and holder of a Ph.D. in law; she works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Tripoli, in addition to being a legal advisor to ministries and public institutions.
